Do you assess for moisture before starting?
Always. Moisture is the number one reason finished basements fail. We assess your foundation, grading, and drainage before we frame a single wall. If there’s a water issue, we solve it first — not after you’ve invested $100k in finishes.
Can my basement be a legal bedroom?
Yes, if it meets egress requirements — minimum window size, height, and accessibility standards for emergency exit. We handle egress window installation and all the permitting required to make a bedroom legally conforming.
Do you add a bathroom to the basement?
Yes. We handle the plumbing rough-in, a sewage ejector pump if required (common in basements below the main drain line), and the full bathroom finish. It’s included in our Luxury Buildout and Full Transformation tiers.
Will we be displaced during the build?
For most basement projects, no — you continue living normally upstairs. We use temporary dust barriers, protect your main-floor finishes, and contain all work below grade. During mechanical phases (plumbing, electrical), there may be brief utility interruptions we schedule in advance.
How accurate is the same-day proposal?
Our proposals are fixed-price documents, not estimates. One client’s $95k project came in $200 under. We don’t use “allowances” as an escape hatch. If we scope it, we stand behind the number.
